Inspired by the rustic landscapes of his childhood in Provence, southern France,
Sébastien decided to create a space where French’s art de vivre and Japanese’s idyllic landscapes blend in perfect harmony.

This house was born from the sensibility of its French owner and a nostalgic French way of life. It is a peaceful space where the gentle charm of France meets the quiet serenity of Japan — a bridge between two cultures.

The Southern House was designed with care and intention, drawing inspiration from the beauty of its surroundings, but : each piece of furniture has been carefully selected, and within this thoughtfully curated space lives the quiet story of the owner's values and lifestyle. It is also a place where the beauty of Awaji Island’s nature met the spirit of both France and Japan, giving birth to something truly unique.

This house features three bedrooms designed for both comfort and warmth.

Two of the rooms carry a charming French atmosphere — one with a spacious double bed, perfect for couples, and the other with bunk beds, ideal for friends or children.

The third room is a traditional Japanese tatami room, offering a peaceful space to relax, whether you're spending time with family or seeking a quiet moment to yourself.
